Steve Goodchild - Founder and President
Since 1978 Steve has successfully operated within a wide range of Houston's construction industry, from commercial contracts to private homes. His current expertise as a custom home builder and renovator has developed out of thirty years consistent experience and a focused devotion to fulfilling the visions of Houston's greatest homeowners and their families.
Renovating and building custom homes in the Memorial Villages, Tanglewood, River Oaks, and other premier areas of Houston has allowed Steve to serve a diversity of clients. He knowledgeably considers the unique needs, desires, and budget involved in every project to make building your home a pleasurable, collaborative process. Steve is a passionate builder that enjoys lasting relationships with his clients based on mutual trust, respect, and honesty. He brings an open mind and seasoned eye fostered by a love for the local arts scene, a practiced dedication as a father of four, and a positive outlook to each project that he leads.

Juan C Hernandez - Vice President
Juan has built a name for himself working in the Houston custom home business since 1975. His decision to join Goodchild Builders was based on his friendship and professional relationship with Steve Goodchild, which has been growing since they first met on a job over thirty years ago. Juan's expertise is in framing and trimming and he comes from a family of builders. His high quality of work and consistent presence at homes in the River Oaks, West University, Tanglewood, and Memorial areas has led to his reputation as one of Houston's greatest custom home builders.
Steve Burns - Project Manager
Steve has worked in the Houston building industry for over thirty years. After operating his own commercial and residential trim and cabinet company he also began building custom homes. He has worked with Steve Goodchild for over twenty years in the Memorial and Tanglewood areas. Steve's eye for detail and expertise in trim work has been recognized by multiple Prism Awards in the 80's and 90's and his work has been published in magazines such as Houston Design.
